The landscape around my home provides endless inspiration. I use paint expressively and allow atmosphere and energy into the pictures.
Trips to the west coast and islands of Scotland are also a vital source of fresh vision. I am fascinated by the contrasts and drama of weather and changing light as well as the subtlety to be found in the landscape. The challenge is to capture these moments on the canvas.
