I have been painting in the Lake District now for 16 years after studying at Falmouth Art School in the early 90’s.

The landscape around my home has a large influence on me and my work and I get most of my enjoyment from exploring and painting it. I like to keep experimenting with new ideas, keeping the paintings fresh and energized. I want the painting to be as much about the paint and the processes involved in it's evolution, as it is about the place. Though the location is, after all, the initial inspiration and I return to it again and again.
