Alison's Greenland Trip

Alison is now back from Greenland and has had a wonderful time sketching painting and experiencing a completely different landscape. The trip was mainly focused on Ilulissat north of the arctic circle and included calving glaciers, enormous icebergs and the midnight sun. Work is now underway on some paintings inspired by the trip.

Northern Lights Gallery

The Northern Lights gallery has just hosted an exhibition (originally to coincide with the Keswick Mountain Festival) called 'High Ground' the exhibition showcases the work of six painters. Below is Alison's "Langdale Triptych" was in the show. Prints of the painting are now available on the prints page.

Borrowdale Hotel - Paintings on display

These two new Paintings can be seen in the restaurant of the Borrowdale Hotel. They have recently been commissioned for the newly refurbished dining room. The first painting is by Alison and is titled "Ice, Derwentwater" the second is by Jonathan called "Borrowdale" both are 105cm square.

Joss Naylor Painting - Charity Auction



Winning Bid - £1,060 (sgn)

This was painted for Keith Richardson's biography of Joss Naylor. 60% of the sale went to Eden House Children's Hospice in Carlisle, the same charity Joss donated much of his charity work to. The auction ended on Saturday 14th November at 7pm.

Thanks very much to all that bid on this painting and congratulations to the winning bidder. It's a great price and we have all raised quite a sum for the hospice which I'm sure they will be putting to good use. Thanks again!
